Jim Keaty is the owner and Broker of Keaty Real Estate, established in 2004. Jim was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana and is married to Danielle Chastant Keaty. Together they have 2 girls, Mae and Josephine “Joey” Keaty, and most recently a son named James Keaty II. Jim graduated with a Bachelors’s Degree in Economics and a minor in Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2002 and then graduated from American Real Estate College in Westminster, Colorado in 2003.
He worked for Coldwell banker in Westminster, Colorado from 2002-2004 followed by his creation of Keaty Real Estate, LLC in 2004. In addition to his active involvement in the real estate industry, he is vigorously involved in our local and state Realtor associations and has served on the Louisiana Realtor Executive committee and board of directors. He has also served on almost every committee and chair position at the Realtor Association of Acadiana, including President in 2020, and has been a lifetime Honor Society member since 2019.

As a former member of NAEA he held designations as a Certified Home Selling Advisor and a Certified Home Buying Advisor and was also recognized as one of the US and Canada’s Top 500 Marketing Experts. He has been nominated on more than a few occasions as one of The Times “Best” Realtors in Lafayette and in 2014 he won the distinction of the best realtor in Lafayette. Jim Keaty and his team were recognizedin2014-2020 by the wall street journal as the number one team in Louisiana by sales volume and by number of transactions and he was also recognized as a bestselling author for his contribution to “Cracking the Real Estate Code” published in 2013.

- Served as a board member and executive board member on both the local and state board of realtors.
- He is currently serving as the Regional Vice President for Louisiana Realtors. He is a major investor for the Louisiana Realtor Political Action Committee.
- Jim is an alumnus of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Lafayette class of XXI in 2008 and an alumnus of The Louisiana Realtors Leadership program in 2007.
- He was nominated as Twenty under Forty by Daily Advertiser in 2007.
- He received the Realtor Association of Acadiana’s President’s Award in 2006, the Exponential Growth Award from the NAEA (National Association of Expert Advisors) in 2012.
- In 2013 received NAEA’s highest honor, the King Kong Award, and the Market Dominator award.
- In 2014 he was endorsed by the real estate mogul and founder of The Corcoran Group, Barbra Corcoran, from the Shark Tank.
Jim is also actively involved in the local community and has served on the board and as President for the Faith House women’s shelter as well as being a member of the local chamber of commerce for many years. Jim was nominated and participated in Man of the Year for Leukemia Lymphoma Society and was also involved in the Real Men wear pink campaign in 2019. He also participated and won the Dancing with the Stars event for the Schools of Sacred Heart. He was nominated by the Mayor of Lafayette to serve on Lafayette Citizens Advisory Committee and the UDC advisory committee. He was nominated by a Federal Judge to serve on the Magistrate Selection Committee. He has also served on the Downtown Advisory Committee and has served on the Downtown Development Board of Directors.
Jim’s relentless dedication to his community and the people around him was instilled in him by his parents Dr. William Keaty, DDS and The Honorable Phyllis Keaty.
His parents always supported him and encouraged him that anything was possible and to always follow his dreams. Above all else, Jim is a dedicated husband, father, and son and loves to spend time with his family. When he is not at work you will find him in a workshop building furniture or on a family adventure anywhere from Colorado to Pecan Island and everywhere in between.

Angelika Thibodaux
Originally from Orange County, New York, Angelika completed her undergraduate degree at Baruch College prior to moving to Lafayette in August 2019. A month later, she began her career as a Front Desk Coordinator at Keaty Real Estate, focusing on assisting 40+ agents with their real estate needs and performing general administrative tasks. In January of 2022, Angelika attained her title as Office Administrator and is now dedicated entirely to ensuring that the back-end duties of our office run as smoothly and efficiently as possible while providing 110% promised service to every one of our clients and agents. In her free time, Angelika likes to go to festivals, listen to live music, exercise at the gym, and spend time with her family and friends.

TRANSACTION COORDINATOR
Raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, graduated from Saint Thomas More High School. She had over 10 years of customer service experience before she found her way to our Keaty team. She is enthusiastic about implementing the tools she learned from her work history and growing within our team. As one of the first faces you see when you walk in the door and the first voice you hear when you call the office, Anna will greet you with a smile, kindness, and persistence to get you what you need. On her off time, she enjoys yoga, getting creative with painting, and lots of time outside.
April Theriot
Born and raised in Acadiana, I graduated from Carencro High in 2000 and earned my degree in Radiologic Technology from LSUE in 2004. After six years in on-site property management,
I became a licensed Realtor in 2010. I’ve worked in various real estate roles, including off-site management, general sales, and most recently as a team lead and transaction coordinator. A proud mom of four daughters and happily married for nearly 15 years, I’m a full-time soccer mom and passionate about family, hard work, and giving my best in everything I do. I live by the mantra: “Lead for today because tomorrow is never promised.”

Cate Foley, a member of Keaty Real Estate since 2010, has worn many hats during her tenure. Starting at the front desk, she swiftly became an adept Transaction Coordinator, ensuring seamless real estate transactions. Now serving as Production Coordinator, Cate continues to excel with her attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Cate’s commitment extends beyond her core role, as she actively engages in event coordination and community involvement, reflecting Keaty Real Estate’s dedication to making a positive impact in Lafayette. Cate resides in Lafayette with her Husband, Ian, and two children.

He is a story-driven content creator focused on building awareness through creative video content. Overseeing all digital video content from conception to completion to meet digital strategic goals. Increasing engagement, leads, conversions, and brand awareness for the agency and its community. Originally from New York City, he resides in Broussard, LA, with his wife, 3 kids, dog, cat, hamster, and chicken.
